The placement of the brooches is intentional — by pinning them symmetrically across the chest, they stop functioning as isolated pieces of jewelry and instead read almost like an embroidered motif. Symmetry is key: it tricks the eye into seeing permanence, as if the garment itself were stitched with this detailing. What interests me is how something inherently temporary, a pin, can assume the visual authority of embroidery simply through arrangement
